Thales Partners with Google Cloud to Deliver AI-Powered Security Capabilities

Security firm Thales recently announced a new partnership with Google Cloud that leverages generative AI to help companies secure their most sensitive data. By adding the power of AI to Thales’ CipherTrust Data Security Platform, organizations will be able to locate and organize all of the sensitive information stored within their technology landscape.

Data security is a key focus for all SAP organizations. Cybersecurity teams must employ the latest technology to stay ahead of malicious outside actors that aim to exploit vulnerabilities.

According to the 2023 Cybersecurity Threats to SAP Systems research report from SAPinsider, protection for secure and confidential data was the top driver of cyber security strategy – 37% of respondent organizations highlighted this as one of their top considerations. The addition reviews and classifies data into categories using semantic context. Sensitive data is then classified as needed, while also being kept within determined boundaries.

This new feature is powered by Vertex AI, Google’s machine learning platform. The platform allows users to train and implement machine learning and artificial intelligence applications, bolstering the effectiveness of the security platform.
