Key Takeaways

⇨ SAP Integration Suite provides ease of use and effective integration capabilities with both SAP and non-SAP data through its API management, improving the overall data flow across enterprises.

⇨ Users have reported significant enhancements in development efficiency and event processing speed after adopting SAP Integration Suite, which facilitates smoother operations in managing data integration.

⇨ The adoption of a canonical data model in conjunction with SAP Integration Suite and SAP Event Mesh has proven vital for organizations, allowing for scalability in future projects and enabling streamlined processes across systems.

SAP users know how important integration can be in ensuring efficiency and streamlined operations. This is especially prevalent today, considering that most organizations operate with a mix of SAP solutions and third-party offerings in their enterprise landscape, according to a recent report by SAPinsider.

As argued by experts, this diversity complicates users’ data and integration landscape, and mapping the flow of data across the enterprise is a critical component of enterprise architecture planning. This is why many users may be interested in integration platform-as-a-service (iPaaS) solutions, such as SAP Integration Suite, designed to help integrate on-premise and cloud-based processes, services, applications, events and data.

To find out more about users’ experience with SAP Integration Suite, SAPinsider gathered feedback from individual users in TrustRadius, a buyer intelligence platform for business technology that serves as a partner for SAP’s Peer Review Program.

Users’ personal experience with SAP Integration Suite

Some of the most prominent trends among users’ feedback include satisfaction with the easy usability of the tool and its ability to integrate with non-SAP data using API.

“SAP Integration Suite enabled the company to harmonize disparate systems through pre-built connectors and a unified integration platform, ensuring real-time, reliable data flow,” shared an Information Technology and Services Company Manager. “The importance of data integration is a key process nowadays and the API Management helps the company to integrate data from different sources.”

Similarly, an Industrial Automation Company Engineer reported that SAP Integration Suite’s mappings “are smarter than expected” and that the company uses it “for all connectivity, since we can then make processes around transforming the data, or retrying when things go wrong.”

Other users shared that they noticed an improvement in development efficiency and speed advantage in event processing since adopting the SAP Integration Suite.

On this point, an Executive in an Information Technology Retail Company stated: “We moved to the SAP Integration Suite combined with SAP Event Mesh, hosted on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). This was a pivotal decision in our strategy. We adopted a canonical data model to ensure scalability and reuse for future projects. […]

“By reusing the canonical data model, we were able to streamline processes and ensure smooth data exchange between our systems. This integration relied on SAP Integration Suite and Event Mesh and the canonical data model, helping us manage events and ensure seamless logistics operations.”
