Leading HVAC manufacturer Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, Inc. (Daikin), has selected DataXstream’s OMS+ platform to boost its point-of-sale capabilities, streamline order management, and transform customer experience.

Modernizing Order Management Through SAP S/4HANA

The company, which used a legacy system for point of sales and order management processes, is undergoing a digital transformation with its move to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition, to improve flexibility and scalability.

Since DataXstream’s OMS+ platform is embedded into SAP S/4HANA Cloud, it delivers real-time access to SAP master data, and transactional data. According to DataXstream, this integration will enable Daikin to support complex Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ)–driven scenarios by ensuring accurate product configuration, pricing, and quote generation for HVAC systems.

It provides the company with real-time visibility into pricing, inventory, credit status, and order tracking. Moreover, the solution offers flexible payment options, including credit, debit, gift cards, on-account, and down payments. OMS+ also unifies POS and wholesale inventory, delivery, and logistics processes on a single platform.

Tim Yates, CEO, DataXstream noted, “Customers want a consistent and responsive experience, regardless of where they place their order. But no channel exists in a vacuum. To provide that level of consistency you need a platform that can view and aggregate data in real-time across the entire sales order lifecycle. OMS+ empowers organizations like Daikin to deliver this level of customer experience in an SAP-native solution that’s built to scale.”

Daikin’s migration to SAP S4/HANA with OMS+ also supports its clean-core strategy, ensuring simplified upgrades, reduced technical debt, and a future-ready foundation that can scale with business growth.

What This Means for SAPinsiders

Embedded, SAP-native solutions are increasingly gaining attention among SAP customers. Daikin’s move to a clean-core, SAP-native platform reflects a broader shift toward solutions that minimize integration complexity and provide real-time visibility across every sales channel. Recent SAPinsider research found that 57% of organizations migrating to SAP S/4HANA prioritize integration capabilities, highlighting why many companies look to clean-core, SAP-native architectures to reduce complexity during transformation.

Improving customer experience is prompting many organizations to consider more unified approaches. By consolidating wholesale, POS, and service processes into a single SAP-embedded platform, organizations can improve responsiveness, support real-time decision-making, and deliver more consistent customer experience.

Real-time sales visibility is becoming essential for improving customer experience. Daikin’s move to an SAP-embedded platform shows how real-time access to pricing, inventory, credit, and order status across wholesale, POS, and service channels can help organizations respond faster, and give customers more accurate information at every stage of the order lifecycle.
