Each business unit at Corvias had its own accounting and purchasing systems – resulting in a complex IT landscape. Corvias currently manages federal government contracts across the United States involving infrastructure projects in partnership with the military, higher education institutions and communities. It provides financing, construction and energy (solar) solutions. As the company grew, it wanted greater simplicity, efficiency and scalability and therefore needed to streamline its processes.
Avvale helped Corvias choose the private edition of SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) to centralize its data. This has enabled automated and integrated purchasing and accounting capabilities. The group is also using SAP Fiori apps to develop customized applications for allocating costs across segments.
In purchase order management, the accounts payable team now has reduced manual processes, allowing teams to redirect efforts to higher-value work, such as researching vendor pricing to boost savings. Corvias was able to harmonize data security roles organization-wide and SAP BTP has enabled its new or acquired companies to integrate smoothly and swiftly.
