CCPR’s Restructuring Includes SAP S/4HANA Upgrade
Cooperativa Central dos Produtores Rurais (CCPR), Brazil’s largest dairy cooperative, has undergone a major restructuring that included the sale of a business unit and the deployment of SAP S/4HANA.
As part of its restructuring effort, CCPR decided to sell the business unit. However, the main company and the unit shared the SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) environment and IT infrastructure, explains Daniel Paiva, IT Manager at CCPR.
As a result, CCPR had to launch an IT carve-out project to separate the two systems. After completing the carve-out, CCPR decided to upgrade to SAP S/4HANA in order to have capabilities for future innovation, such as data analytics and cloud computing, Paiva says.
