Web forms are the means by which developers can create applications that enable users to start workflows and execute work items from the comfort of a Web browser. A Web form is a simple, intuitive interface, which is made up of a relatively short list of fields and a "Submit" button. This interface obviates the need for the SAP GUI, or even familiarity with R/3 transactions. This article explains the steps that are required within R/3 and the SAP@Web Studio to build Web form-based workflow scenarios.
Rainer Weber
Rainer Weber joined SAP AG in 1994, and since then has been working in the development of SAP Business Workflow, with a focus on interfaces to external systems. Rainer is currently a professor of computer science at the University of Applied Sciences, Nuremberg, where his main focus is on business process design, workflow systems, and of course, SAP software.
