PlanSource recently announced upgrades and new experiences as a part of its Summer 2024 release. Users can access improved functionalities within Olive, its AI-powered virtual assistant, as well as a New Enrollment Experience designed to simplify benefit election, along with other new tools and solutions.

Enhancing Olive with AI

PlanSource announced that its Olive Virtual Assistant has been upgraded to help users bolster their employee experience throughout the enrollment process. It now provides authentication assistance, offers comprehensive information about specific benefits when queried, and streamlines company information. It also now features Spanish language capabilities, engaging a new section of the workforce.

These upgrades not only improve the benefit election experience for employees, but also reduce the time and financial investment previously required – meeting the demand for AI services that many SAP organizations have noted.

SAPinsider’s recent AI State of Adoption benchmark research report found that the top driver for implementing AI capabilities is the need to automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks and free up workers to spend time on more value-added tasks.

Further automating repetitive manual tasks, the 2024 Summer Release also features Enrollment API updates. These new capabilities instantly send enrollment data to instance carriers. This not only saves time but can reduce the instances of coverage gaps.

Improving Payroll Processes

PlanSource’s 2024 Summer Release also featured two key improvements to payroll processes:

Retroactive Payroll – Users can now access a solution suite that helps them streamline their payroll deduction process, saving HR teams valuable time and reducing the potential for manual errors. PlanSource can create or alter outbound files so users can transmit payroll adjustments electronically.

Closed Loop Payroll – This payroll reconciliation tool detects deduction variances between PlanSource payroll deduction instructions and the Payroll Vendor’s actual deductions for each cycle, generating adjustments as needed.

Conclusion

HR processes are an essential function for all businesses, ensuring that employees are taken care of and able to focus on their roles. As the needs of workers change over time, organizations must be able to adapt their capabilities to accommodate these needs and work more efficiently. However, outdated processes and manual workflows can delay important tasks like benefit election, causing errors and bogging down HR teams from completing other important work that adds value to the organization

Many SAP organizations are turning to partners like PlanSource to ensure that they can meet the needs of their workforce not just now, but in the future. It is vital that SAP organizations find a partner that is constantly innovating and updating their processes to meet the shifting needs of their workforce.
