In August, SAP and data intelligence company Collibra announced the general availability of the latter’s integration with SAP Datasphere. The company also launched its integration support of SAP Datasphere models with general availability (GA) in September 2024.

Collibra strengthened its partnership with SAP in Q4 2024 with new features for its Data Intelligence Platform. Some became generally available in October, while others are set for GA in 2025.

These latest integrations build on Collibra and SAP’s existing partnership since March 2023, which has helped end customers to:

  • Use context to build trust
  • Empower everyone across the enterprise
  • Future-proof enterprise data strategy
  • Scale data policies

It showcased these updates during a recent webinar. They include broader data source support with pushdowns to achieve more scalable, efficient and secure processing on SAP Datasphere, which became generally available in October 2024.

In terms of integration, the company already has an ERP/CRM integrator that connects to SAP ECC. In the near term, it plans to connect to SAP S/4HANA as part of its SAP Datasphere roadmap.

On the artificial intelligence (AI) front, Collibra delivered its AI governance module to GA in May. The module can catalog, assess, and monitor any AI use case for swift data delivery. This builds on Collibra’s SAP Datasphere integration from August.

Collibra has delivered SAP AI Core integration, which will become generally available in the fourth quarter, along with similar integrations with Amazon SageMaker and Microsoft Azure. These integrations will help end users:

  • Accelerate project visibility across the organization
  • Drive holistic stakeholder engagement and strategic alignment
  • Simplify complex AI project management across different technologies

Users who are more advanced in their governance process can use Collibra’s latest configurable AI lifecycle management features to create customizable workflows aligned with the organization’s needs and requirements. These features help leverage existing best practices and make the system engaging and easy to use for users with the assistance of modern UI.

For organizations seeking AI assistance for regulation assessments, Collibra has released an out-of-the-box EU AI Act Assessment that will help users understand their organization’s obligations under the EU AI ACT through built-in automation, apply systematic compliance checks, and engage their AI governance council around a risk management system.
