In the current globalized climate, there is a trend of businesses pushing for a greater streamlined flow of procurement operations.  According to the recent SAPinsider ‘Building Resilient and Agile Supply Chains Leveraging Data, Analytics, and Automation’ Report, procurement and supply management stand as a priority focus for supply chain professionals, with 60 percent of respondents placing it in first place in 2024.

The key wins that users mention regarding SAP Ariba are streamlined supplier and contract management, automation features, and integration with SAP.

“After implementing SAP Ariba, our procurement operations have improved significantly. We know what to order, when, how much to order, and the dollar value we will spend,” said Anuj Sant, Technical Supply Chain Professional at GVA Lighting, Inc.

“This helps us manage our inventory better and improve cash flow. Also, API enables us to integrate with external modules like logistics and freight booking and tracking.”

Other users reported that SAP Ariba helped to automate their procurement process and enable collaboration with suppliers in real-time, leading to better negotiation and cost savings.

On this point, Dipak Kapure, IT Executive at Origin Logistics pvt Ltd, shared that SAP Ariba “is well suited for large and medium organizations that have high volumes of procurement activities. It can not only help them streamline their procurement process but also enable them to cost saving. […]”

Similarly, Alok Kumar, Consultant at Deloitte, explained that the software has improved his clients’ experience and streamlined business processes:
