Thomas E. Müller

Thomas E. Müller is Senior Director of Processes & Digitalization at KION Group AG, where he leads global finance transformation and digital strategy. With over 20 years of experience in finance, compliance, and IT across industrial and manufacturing sectors, Thomas is known for driving operational excellence and shaping high-performing teams. At KION, he oversees a global team of 50+ professionals across seven finance and digital functions and serves as Global Process Owner for the Financial Supply Chain. He has played a key role in the company’s S/4 HANA transformation, shared service transitions, and governance frameworks. Previously, Thomas led the FICO Competence Center at STILL GmbH and held senior roles at Ingredion Germany GmbH, where he managed SAP upgrades, compliance, and cross-functional process optimization. His career began as an officer in the German Armed Forces, where he developed his leadership foundation. Thomas holds a Master of Commercial Law (LL.M.), and a Diplom-Kaufman (MBA-equivalent) in Business Administration, and certifications in Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, and international accounting standards. Fluent in German, English, and Spanish, with basic proficiency in Chinese, he brings a global perspective and deep technical expertise to every initiative.
