SAPinsider surveyed 138 IT professionals across the world during March and April 2022 about their data strategy, goals, and challenges, especially with migrating and managing data in the cloud.
The survey discovered that SAP customers are deploying more data solutions – databases, data warehouses, data lakes – and a wide range of technologies to enable both automation and analytics compared to 2021. Many are taking key steps to ensure data integrity including use of data orchestration and master data governance. In addition, as cloud complexity and costs increase, they are adopting data tiering ranking data based on usage. Several data solutions and tools being used or planned for data storage, migration, governance, and archiving.
