What Is SAP Solution Manager?
SAP Solution Manager is an application lifecycle management (ALM) platform used to implement, maintain, and integrate SAP systems and troubleshoot problems. SAP Solution Manager provides integrated content, tools, methodologies, and access to SAP systems. It combines process modeling in SAP Signavio Process Manager, automated application testing in Tricentis Test Automation for SAP, and learning management in SAP Enable Now to support business transformation.

SAP Solution Manager features include:
- Change Request Management — application management process of documenting and controlling the approval process for changes that need to be made to a system.
- Application Operations — tools for monitoring applications for efficiency and technical issues, including system monitoring, user experience monitoring, integration monitoring, SAP HANA and business intelligence monitoring, job monitoring, self-monitoring, root-cause analysis, and system recommendations.
- Solution Integration — ability to integrate disparate systems, such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, SAP Integrated Business Planning, and SAP SuccessFactors.
- Solution Testing — manual and automated testing of both SAP and non-SAP solutions.
- Business Process Documentation — detailed documentation of business processes for teams to use when onboarding new employees or learning to use a solution themselves.
- Access Control — ability to control who accesses what within SAP Solution Manager and when.
