What Does The Earth Look Like From Datasphere?

Maxion Wheels, a global manufacturer of steel and aluminum wheels for cars, trucks, and agricultural equipment, decided to implement SAP Datasphere to centralize its data for their end users who used Tableau for daily reporting. However, the challenges that the company faced were two-fold. While the company wanted to create a single version of truth for all the domains across the company and integrate 20 years of legacy data, they were also discussing the possibility of S/4HANA migration for ECC, which made the task more challenging. In this session, Maxion Wheels, one of the first companies who invested and implemented Datasphere, will share its Datasphere journey and will provide valuable insights and recommendations for other organizations planning to transition their data warehouses to the cloud. By drawing on their experiences, Maxion Wheels aims to shed light on key considerations, best practices, and essential points to be mindful of throughout the migration process.

You will:

  • Examine the key considerations for SAP Datasphere implementation.
  • Explore the integration of legacy ECC versions with Datasphere and integration of third-party applications like Tableau with Datasphere.
  • Learn how to overcome challenges when deviating from expected patterns (ECC integration instead of S/4HANA and SAC integration).
  • Understand the components of an effective project management for a successful Datasphere implementation. .
