Webinar: RISE with SAP 2023Over the last two years, RISE with SAP went from being a somewhat confusing business-transformation-as-a-service offering to the core of SAP’s cloud ERP strategy. To further demonstrate the value of the offering, SAP recently announced RISE with SAP Premium Plus. It provides access to a new embedded generative AI assistant called Joule, new sustainability features, and advanced finance and cash flow capabilities. SAP also revealed that there are now more than 4,300 RISE with SAP customers. But does RISE with SAP resonate in the broader SAP community? This report will focus on what organizations currently understand about RISE with SAP, the concerns they have, and the offering fits into their needs for ERP and innovation.
The survey asked the respondents to about their familiarity with RISE with SAP, how much they know about the components of RISE with SAP, what about RISE with SAP provides the most benefit, how they plan on selecting a cloud service provider for RISE with SAP, and what the biggest factors are impacting their plans for ERP and innovation. When SAPinsider first started researching RISE with SAP there was limited knowledge about the offering, and a significant proportion of respondents claimed to know little about it. That changed over the last two years, and this year only 7% of respondents reported that they were not at all familiar with RISE with SAP.

SAPinsider Buyers Guide Webinar: SAP S/4HANAThe transition to SAP S/4HANA remains a focal point for SAP ERP users. Since its debut, around 24,000 organizations have licensed SAP S/4HANA, with a slightly smaller number having deployed the solution. While SAP S/4HANA remains important, SAP’s strategic thrust over the past two years has been towards cloud ERP, underscoring the pivotal role of SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Supporting this strategy, SAP’s primary push has been for its subscription-based RISE with SAP offering, which includes both SAP S/4HANA Cloud, public edition, and SAP S/4AHNA Cloud, private edition. Yet, converting long-standing SAP users to this new cloud model, especially those with highly customized SAP ECC or SAP Business Suite deployments, remains a hurdle for SAP.
Despite the new innovations and faster performance offered by SAP S/4HANA and the cloud’s growing relevance, its uptake has been steady rather than rapid. Many in the SAP community are still on the fence regarding this shift. While some organizations have started their SAP S/4HANA journeys, a significant number of organizations have delayed deciding how they will move forward. However, the percentage without any plans to switch does continue to diminish.
To help SAP users make some of these critical decisions, SAPinsider put together this Buyers Guide, which aims to explore the challenges, opportunities, and trends in the SAP S/4HANA adoption space and to highlight key vendors and partners. The vendor capability assessments are intended to aid and assist organizations in selecting the vendors offering technology and consulting services for S/4HANA preparation, implementation, infrastructure, and post-deployment support.
