Persistent Memory and SAP HANA Configuration

SAP HANA is the first major database platform to support Intel® Optane™ persistent memory, which gives it the ability to expand beyond the density limitations of traditional memory while benefiting from the non-volatile capabilities of persistent memory. This paper provides an overview of the benefits of combining servers equipped with Intel® Optane™ persistent memory with SAP HANA, and it then provides a high-level overview of the physical server requirements and steps to configure Intel® Optane™ persistent memory for use with SAP HANA.
