Between January and March 2022, SAPinsider surveyed 346 members of our community about the cybersecurity threats to their SAP systems. 41% of those respondents were from North America, 29% from EMEA, and 25% were from APJ. The full findings from that research were published in our

This market insights drills into some of the regional data and compares what respondents from each of these regions saw as the biggest challenges they faced in securing their SAP systems from cyber threats, and particularly how likely they were to have suffered from cybersecurity attacks which impacted their SAP systems connects with those challenges. What was most significant just how much difference there was in how many respondents reported that attacks had impacted their SAP systems in the APJ region, especially compared to how much smaller those numbers were in EMEA and North America.
Trends that stood out include:
- Around half the respondents in APJ reported that some form of attack had impacted their SAP systems.
- Monitoring user activity was the biggest challenges faced by respondents in APJ
- Keeping up with patches and updates was the biggest challenge for respondents in EMEA and North America
