Building on this capability, pilot sites now handle thousands of units and dozens of deliveries each day with minimal manual intervention, improving both speed and accuracy.

Sustainability is a core focus for KAMAX, which aims for carbon neutrality by 2037. Using SAP’s automation capabilities, including intelligent route planning and optimized truck utilization, have helped the company minimize empty runs and reduce emissions. 

“Reducing CO2 emissions through smarter transport management is a key project outcome,” Hoidem added. 

Initiatives such as RFID tracking, automated guided vehicles, and laser-based container counting also cut labor hours while supporting greener operations.
