  1. Between the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and services offered by hyperscalers, organizations have options when it comes to innovation and transformation.
  2. Slightly over half (52%) of the respondents reported that their organization runs up to eight enterprise systems or workloads, while 32% said it was more than 17.
  3. About 68% of those respondents with annual revenues less than $2 billion run up to eight, and 67% of those with revenues over $2 billion run more than 17.
  4. The largest group of respondents (38%) reported that less than a quarter of their organization’s enterprise systems or workloads run in the cloud.
  5. Organizations with annual revenues of over $2 billion were much more likely to run a greater proportion of their systems in the cloud.
  6. About 52% of respondents indicated that they use SAP BTP, and nearly two-thirds (65%) of those with revenues over $2 billion said they use the platform.
  7. Around 76% of those with revenues over $2 billion stated that they run SAP workloads in the cloud, which compares to 65% for smaller organizations.
  8. The three most-used services were SAP Analytics Cloud (67%), SAP Integration Suite (58%), and ABAP environment (54%). That suggests that larger organizations, which are more likely to run SAP workloads in the cloud, are looking to continue to leverage ABAP skills.
  9. About 64% of respondents stated that they had plans to integrate their SAP solutions and landscape with cloud services to provide additional insight. Usage of these services is unlikely to decrease.
  10. For a small proportion of respondents (6%), this integration of SAP solutions with cloud services is already complete. Slightly more than a third (37%) report that the integration process is currently under way, and 43% say it is at least a year away. The last 14% are planning to coordinate this integration with their move to SAP S/4HANA, although they have no timeline for that move.
