Global Tax Automation for Your EnterpriseNov 1, 2021  —  Tax authorities around the world are pushing for real-time access to information and rules and tax rates change constantly. Roger Lindelauf, Director, Global SAP Partnership at Vertex, predicts that in the next two or three years, we will continue to see a lot of countries, such as in EMEA, move to e-audits, e-filings, and e-invoicing. “We are changing from information being pushed to tax authorities to having the information pulled by them,” he says. Sanofi Leverages SAP Access Control to Help Secure SAP S/4HANA Migration During COVID-19 Vaccine ResponseAug 4, 2021  —  At the same time that Sanofi was working on COVID-19 vaccines, it was also working with Accenture and KPMG to migrate from SAP ERP Central Component System to SAP S/4HANA and consolidate and optimize its IT environment. This was an ambitious undertaking considering the unique economic environment, the firm’s multinational reach, and the heavily regulated nature of the pharmaceutical industry. As part of this effort, the French pharmaceuticals maker updated its access management capabilities, explains Roberto Diaz Coma, Center of Excellence, User Access Management Lead, Sanofi. “As part of our move to SAP S/4HANA, we had to consolidate and optimize our security, especially access management in the new environment to allow users the right access to do their jobs while also managing the risks,” Diaz says. In the end, Sanofi’s user access management update leveraging SAP Access Control helped reduce costs, streamline business roles, improve user experience, boost security, and ease the migration to SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori.

For example, before the digital transformation project, the company could ship 300,000 pieces in a month. Shortly after, they were able to deliver 430,000 pieces without adding a single headcount in the warehouse.
