BTP, Integration and AI adoption
SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) is SAP’s technology platform that brings together multiple SAP applications and solutions into a single platform that can run in any cloud or hybrid environment. The five pillars of SAP BTP include application development, artificial intelligence (AI), automation, data and analytics, and integration. With over a hundred services in the suite of applications, SAP BTP is designed to help organizations extend and personalize SAP applications and integrate and connect environments.
One of the primary use cases for SAP BTP is that of integration using SAP Integration Suite. Integration is crucial for organizations that have workloads running in both cloud and on-premise environments that need to be connected together to support business processes and workflows that run across the enterprise. Organizations are looking at the integration capabilities of SAP BTP to help them support multiple integration scenarios including SAP to SAP as well as SAP to non-SAP. Effectively managing integration is also key to supporting new technologies such as AI.
AI adoption continues to grow among SAP customers, and SAP BTP supports this though SAP AI Core which is designed to handle the execution and operations of your AI assets in a standardized, scalable, and hyperscaler-agnostic way while integrating with any SAP solutions. For example, SAP AI Core allows organizations to access AI functions using open-source frameworks. To fully utilize AI capabilities, organizations must ensure that their data is fully prepared for use in AI scenarios. This can be one of the most time-consuming steps in AI adoption.
