SecurityBridge, which provides an SAP-native cybersecurity platform, has appointed Tom Janoshalmi as chairman of its board. The company said Janoshalmi will work alongside CEO Jesper Zerlang and the executive team to guide strategy, strengthen global partnerships, and support its international growth.

The appointment comes as SecurityBridge enters what it describes as its next phase of global expansion with backing from mid-cap investor Bregal Unternehmerkapital. Janoshalmi joins with senior leadership experience across SAP, EY, and IBM Consulting, where he currently serves as Global Managing Partner.

Why SecurityBridge Chose Janoshalmi

SecurityBridge pointed specifically to Janoshalmi’s experience leading large-scale cloud transformation and services organizations, along with his extensive channel background. At SAP, he held several global executive roles, including responsibility for what SecurityBridge described as the industry’s largest cloud transformation and a redesign of SAP’s services and support business.

The company also highlighted Janoshalmi’s extensive channel background, which it said will strengthen SecurityBridge’s position as a channel and alliances vendor as it expands internationally.

“The autonomous enterprise needs trust at its core,” Janoshalmi said. “SecurityBridge combines deep SAP expertise with an integrated platform and clear global ambition. I look forward to working with Jesper and the team to help enterprises move forward with confidence as their business becomes more connected and autonomous.”

Zerlang tied the appointment more directly to changes inside SAP environments. “SAP runs the processes businesses cannot afford to lose control of,” he said. “As AI agents and non-human identities take on more responsibility, securing those environments becomes a boardroom imperative. Tom brings the strategic perspective and SAP ecosystem experience to help us scale our impact worldwide.”

SecurityBridge’s SAP Security Platform

SecurityBridge has been building out the platform that Janoshalmi will now help take into new markets. The company combines vulnerability management, threat detection, identity protection, code security, and compliance capabilities within SAP environments, while also connecting SAP security data into broader enterprise monitoring tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, and ServiceNow.

That SAP-native approach gained another validation point in August, when SecurityBridge Platform 7 achieved SAP-certified integration with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition. The certification gives RISE with SAP customers a validated path for deploying SecurityBridge controls within SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition environments.

The company has also broadened the platform beyond threat detection and vulnerability management. In July 2025, SecurityBridge acquired CyberSafe, adding contextual single sign-on, multifactor authentication, and passwordless authentication for SAP users to its identity security capabilities.

Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Ingolstadt, Germany, SecurityBridge says it now protects more than 8,000 SAP production systems worldwide. That installed base provides the foundation for the international expansion Janoshalmi will help guide.

What This Means for SAPinsiders

  • International expansion has board-level support. Janoshalmi’s remit explicitly includes strategy and global partnerships as SecurityBridge enters new markets. That puts international growth closer to the company’s top-level governance and leadership agenda.
  • Platform breadth is becoming a competitive lever. SecurityBridge now spans technical security, identity, compliance and monitoring, reducing the number of separate SAP-specific controls customers may need. That breadth could strengthen its position in enterprise-wide security consolidation decisions.
  • AI is raising the strategic value of SAP security. Zerlang’s emphasis on agents and non-human identities shifts the discussion beyond traditional SAP vulnerability management. Vendors that can govern automated identities may gain influence with security leaders beyond the SAP team itself.
