SAP recognized Loftware Cloud as an SAP Endorsed App following additional validation, security review, testing, and benchmark measurement.
Loftware Cloud supports labeling across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, allowing product identification modernization before the final ERP cutover.
Certified SAP integrations extend labeling into supplier collaboration, SAP Product Compliance, SAP Digital Manufacturing, and SAP Extended Warehouse Management.
An SAP migration does not stop the physical work tied to the system. Plants still need labels, warehouses still need shipping documents, and suppliers still need approved product information while SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA coexist.
Loftware is positioning cloud labeling as a way to manage that continuity. SAP has recognized Loftware Cloud as an SAP Endorsed App following validation and testing, adding a new credential for the product-identification platform as customers modernize mixed SAP landscapes.
Labeling Can Modernize Before the S/4HANA Cutover
Loftware Cloud integrates with existing SAP ECC environments and on-premises applications, including WWI, SAP Global Label Management, and Adobe Forms. Loftware says customers can move product identification into the cloud without interrupting current operations, while preparing that layer for a later transition to SAP S/4HANA Cloud.
This separates labeling modernization from the final ERP cutover. Organizations can standardize product identification while different plants, warehouses, or business units remain on different SAP platforms.
Loftware’s SAP portfolio extends beyond basic print output. Its ABAP- and SAP Business Technology Platform-certified integrations connect with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA Cloud, and SAP Product Compliance. They support real-time printing, label-status updates, SAP print queues, and production labeling through SAP Digital Manufacturing and SAP Extended Warehouse Management.
The company also says its certified integrations align with SAP’s Clean Core direction. Customers still need to map existing forms, data sources, and print dependencies, but the product-identification work does not have to wait until the core migration is complete.
Supplier Labeling Expands the Control Boundary
The endorsement announcement places supplier collaboration alongside SAP integration. Loftware Cloud standardizes product-identification rules and shares current label data with suppliers and other trading partners. Suppliers can then create labels against approved brand, regulatory, and operational requirements before goods enter the manufacturer’s supply chain.
That moves labeling control beyond the systems inside a company’s own facilities. Incorrect supplier labels can cause rejected shipments, relabeling, inventory mismatches, production interruptions, and compliance problems. Loftware’s model is designed to apply approved data and rules before those errors reach a plant or distribution center.
Regulated manufacturers face another challenge: label content must change when requirements change. Loftware says its SAP integrations support EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging requirements and compliance processes involving EPA, REACH, and OSHA rules. The platform draws information from systems of record so approved enterprise data can govern output across locations.
Endorsement Adds Evidence for SAP Buyers
SAP Endorsed Apps receive added security review, in-depth testing, and benchmark measurement. The designation gives SAP customers another validation point when deciding whether a partner application can extend their environment.
The larger migration argument is operational. SAP S/4HANA programs cannot pause labeling while systems change. Loftware’s approach allows customers to modernize product identification separately from the final ERP cutover, keep labels moving across mixed landscapes, and establish a consistent control layer for internal operations and supplier networks.
What This Means for SAPinsiders
- Labeling becomes a migration sequencing decision. Separating labeling from the core ERP cutover gives program leaders another way to reduce transformation risk. It also allows operational benefits to appear before the broader SAP S/4HANA program is complete.
- Supplier readiness becomes part of ERP governance. Once suppliers generate labels from shared rules, migration governance extends beyond internal systems and teams. Companies must manage partner onboarding, data ownership, and exception handling as part of the transformation.
- Certification shifts procurement toward operating assurance. SAP Endorsed App status reduces uncertainty for buyers evaluating extensions during a high-risk migration. It can shorten due diligence while clarifying accountability across architecture, security, compliance, and operations.
