These cloud applications and services can be the most important part of any plan for innovation. Between the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and services offered by the hyperscalers, organizations have multiple options to establish a platform for innovation and transformation.
While many already have transformation plans in progress that start with updating systems and infrastructure. Next comes redesigning and re-engineering business processes to meet today’s needs. But just as important is the need to innovate. This is more complex than transformation because it is not as simple as updating a process or replacing hardware. In fact, focusing on trying to build innovation into an organization can sometimes be counterproductive.

Automating AP Invoice Management – Benchmark Research ReportDec 29, 2022 — Reducing operational costs and increasing productivity requires strategies for automating accounts payable (AP) invoice management, as manual or partially automated processes no longer provide efficiency. An expanding digital economy and increased competition require organizations to have efficient processes to support and maintain supplier relationships and keep pace with industry peers. With a hybrid workforce and increasing global e-invoicing requirements, organizations must ensure visibility into their AP invoices across multiple countries, currencies, and payment methods.
This report explores the need for SAPinsider organizations to consider automating AP processes to save time, reduce operational costs associated with manual labor, and minimize human errors that result from repetitive or complex tasks. Our findings show that most survey respondents (76%) do not digitize incoming paper invoices, while eight in ten (80%) survey respondents reported an average throughput time for incoming invoices exceeding 14 days. By utilizing strategies for automating AP invoice management, organizations can optimize their entire AP invoicing process, gain full compliance with global regulations, and improve cash flow.
From October to December of 2022, SAPinsider surveyed 188 finance community members to learn more about the strategic priorities of SAP organizations regarding their approach to automating AP processes.

Cloud Security Trends for SAP CustomersNov 30, 2022 — The movement of enterprise workloads to the cloud continues to accelerate. Cloud environments, in one form or another, have been at the top of infrastructure choices for organizations over the last three years. This year, private cloud and public cloud environments were the top two infrastructure choices for organizations who are updating their SAP landscapes. And this does not consider how the many non-SAP solutions in use in today’s business landscape are also moving to the cloud.
With so many applications moving to cloud environments, securing them is more important than ever. This is especially true with cybercrime on the rise globally, and the increased attack surface created by moving enterprise workloads to the cloud, makes it even more difficult for organizations to defend against cyber-attacks. The increase in cyber-attacks was demonstrated by the fact that 61% of respondents reported attacks made against at least one of their cloud providers. Having a security plan in place, for both cloud-based systems and the integration and data transfer points between those systems, is an imperative.

RISE with SAP – EngagementNov 30, 2022 — RISE with SAP is the cornerstone of SAP's cloud ERP strategy. Released in January 2021, the offering has evolved from a licensing bundle built around SAP S/4HANA Cloud to a solution focused on driving business innovation and the tools to achieve it. While the overall makeup of the solution has not changed significantly in the last year, there is now greater emphasis on supporting new business models, improving process efficiency, and modernizing critical systems without disruption.
But a significant number of organizations are at most somewhat familiar with the solution even though it has been at the forefront of SAP's marketing for most of the last two years. This suggests that, while organizations are hearing about RISE with SAP, many still only have a basic understanding of the solution.
