Syniti Links SAP ADMM Migration and Governance Tools for RISE Projects

Syniti is presenting SAP Advanced Data Migration and Management, or SAP ADMM, as the migration and data management component of SAP’s Integrated Toolchain for RISE with SAP. SAP ADMM carries SAP Premium Certified Solution Extension status and operates on the Syniti Knowledge Platform, which provides capabilities for data migration, quality, governance, matching, replication, cataloging, and master data management. Syniti reports a 99.7% customer satisfaction rate and a 46% improvement in data project efficiency. The company also reports completing more than 5,000 SAP migration go-lives.

Bringing Data Work Into S/4HANA Project Design

SAP ADMM supports data assessment, mapping, cleansing, validation, and migration during moves to SAP S/4HANA. Syniti reports that customers have reduced migration project costs, cut data quality errors during ERP migration and consolidation projects, and completed cloud migrations involving HR, procurement, or product lifecycle management systems  faster.

Selective Data Transition, Syniti’s offering for moving selected ECC data and processes into S/4HANA, integrates three areas of project work. The offering creates a target system shell, automates portions of custom code remediation, and migrates the data selected for the new environment. Syniti targets near-zero downtime through this approach, although actual downtime will depend on system scope, data volumes, dependencies, and cutover design.

The company reports lower costs for selective data transition projects and an eight-month payback period. Syniti also says retaining metadata, rules, and mappings can reduce the cost of later projects. Reuse gives subsequent migration teams a starting point for transformation logic and data definitions.

Syniti calls its project method “Data First.” The method moves profiling, quality analysis, mapping, and migration design into earlier project phases. Findings from the source data can then influence the target design, including which records move, how fields map to S/4HANA structures, and which quality problems require remediation before cutover.

Connecting Migration With Governance

SAP ADMM is included in Syniti’s presentation of the SAP Integrated Toolchain for RISE with SAP. Syniti describes its software as working with information from SAP Signavio, SAP LeanIX, and SAP Cloud ALM. Those connections are intended to link process analysis, architecture planning, implementation management, and data migration activities. Inclusion in the toolchain gives SAP customers a defined migration option when planning a RISE project.

Syniti extends the migration work into post-migration governance through Rapid Data Governance. The accelerator runs on SAP Business Technology Platform and provides a no-code interface for configuring SAP Master Data Governance.

Business process owners can use the graphical interface to create data models, add attributes, and extend governance objects covering materials, business partners, financial data, and other domains. The interface reduces the amount of custom development required for those configuration tasks, although governance architecture, access controls, approval design, and technical oversight remain part of an MDG program.

Syniti reports that Rapid Data Governance can reduce deployment time and costs compared with its baseline for conventional MDG implementations. The product can also support prototypes during project planning, allowing teams to test data models and governance workflows before committing them to a broader deployment.

What This Means for SAPinsiders

• Validate the different SAP designations during product selection. Certification, price-list availability, and inclusion in a RISE toolchain are distinct criteria. Procurement teams should ask SAP to confirm the scope of any recommendation or exclusivity designation.
• Use source-data findings to test the target design. Early profiling and mapping can identify quality defects, obsolete records, and structural mismatches before teams finalize S/4HANA data models and cutover scope.
• Assess which MDG tasks business users can own. A no-code interface can shift some model and attribute configuration away from custom ABAP development. SAP specialists will still be needed for architecture, integrations, security, controls, and complex extensions.
