SAP Customer Success
Thomas leads the new business unit Customer Engagement and Experience (CE&X). The new unit was created in February 2020 and is part of the Customer Success Board Area. The CE&X vision is to drive a world-class customer experience, delivering valuable business outcomes to all customers and ensuring high solution usage and harmonizing the customer experience with SAP. The CE&X Unit combines Customer First, Maintenance Go-to-Market, SAP Preferred Success, Enterprise Support (LCX) Customer Interaction Center resources and other operational functions. Thomas is responsible for driving top and bottom-line growth and plays a key role in ensuring customers have the best experience with SAP throughout their whole lifecycle. He serves on SAP’s global Executive team. Before taking on his current role, Thomas served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for SAP Digital Business Services. Prior to that, he was a Senior Vice President with worldwide responsibility for Maintenance Go-to-Market, Global License Auditing Services, and SAP User Groups. As Chief Audit Executive, Thomas transformed SAP’s Corporate Audit into a modern audit department. He also served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Controlling Officer (CCO) of the former Global Service & Support Board area. In addition, Thomas was elected as the representative of SAP’s Senior Managers to the SAP Supervisory Board. Thomas started at SAP in 1993 in Corporate Controlling and had responsibility for the legal-entity, controlling various SAP subsidiaries as well as for the setup of the sales controlling function Thomas holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Business Administration.
