ADS-TEC Energy Goes Live on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud to Standardize Global Operations

ADS-TEC Energy PLC has gone live with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, to consolidate its enterprise processes with a standardized digital core that supports multi-country operations and reporting.

The company, which develops and manufactures battery storage solutions and ultra-fast charging systems, underwent the transformation to support its core financials, supply chain processes, project accounting, and operational execution using SAP’s standardized public cloud data model and business processes.

Standardizing Finance and Operations for Multi-Entity Execution

ADS-TEC Energy, which has a wide product portfolio, requires close coordination across finance, operations, sales, and service. As the company expands internationally, the move to a public cloud ERP will continue to provide a standardized platform for core business processes while maintaining integration across operational teams. The architecture also enables centralized financial management across multiple entities without relying on separate regional systems or custom developments.

Connecting the Digital Core to Frontline Execution

Surrounding the ERP core, ADS-TEC Energy implemented additional SAP cloud applications to support customer-facing and service execution processes. SAP Sales Cloud and SAP Service Cloud will be used to manage ongoing sales and service interactions, while SAP Field Service Management will support the planning and execution of service activities in the field following go-live. These applications are integrated with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud to enable the exchange of relevant transactional and master data required for finance, service, and fulfillment processes.

From an architectural perspective, SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud will serve as the central transactional system for core ERP processes following go-live. SAP Field Service Management will support field execution in coordination with ERP-based processes, and SAP Cloud ALM will be used for ongoing system monitoring and lifecycle management in line with SAP’s public cloud operating model.

This implementation relied primarily on SAP standard functionality rather than custom code. The approach reduced complexity in upgrades and supports long-term scalability as ADS-TEC Energy expands into new regions and business models.
