What This Means for SAPinsiders

Toornman’s appointment will strengthen 4flow’s SAP digital supply chain practice. 4flow provides deep integration capabilities with core SAP platforms, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Transportation Management (TM), and SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP). This ensures that supply chain processes—ranging from order fulfillment to multi-modal logistics planning—are fully synchronized and optimized within the SAP ecosystem. 4flow’s ability to connect seamlessly with SAP environments helps organizations reduce data silos, enhance automation, and accelerate real-time decision-making.

4flow enhances SAP-powered operations through analytics-driven network design. It also uses transport route optimization and scenario planning to enhance operational efficiency for SAP users. For example, 4flow has assisted a consumer goods company leveraging SAP IBP and SAP TM to optimize its European distribution network. 4flow’s simulation tools, integrated with SAP data, identified inefficiencies in inventory positioning and route planning resulting in a 15% reduction in logistics costs, 10% faster delivery times, and a significant decrease in carbon emissions across their network—all managed within their SAP environment.

Strategic support for SAP-driven digital transformation. With a strategic advisor like Toornman and a history of co-developing innovative logistics models, 4flow will help clients not only implement SAP solutions but evolve their supply chain strategy. This includes aligning SAP capabilities with broader business transformation goals. Recently, the company worked with an agricultural equipment manufacturer, transitioning to SAP S/4HANA, to redefine its global supply chain operating model. Beyond system migration, 4flow helped redesign inventory buffers, supplier collaboration processes, and logistics planning to fully exploit S/4HANA’s real-time analytics. This strategic overhaul led to improved forecast accuracy, reduced working capital, and faster new product rollout cycles.
