Alan's role is about more than the quality of the software. It’s also about quality of the service and the often cited, open culture and approachable nature of SUSE and its employees. He is in the fortunate position where he can build long-term relationships with partners, because of SUSE's strategy of ‘sell with’ as well as ‘sell through’, the SAP partner ecosystem. Most importantly, and the parts of the job that motivate him the most, are reducing risk around transformation and migration projects for SAP customers and making it simple for all partners operating within the SAP ecosystem, to ally with SUSE.
