As SAP ECC 6.0 users plan, begin, or resume their SAP software system migration to S/4HANA with Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), there must be an established plan/strategy for migration of a business’s existing mobile RF barcode scanning system that was; designed for use with Inventory Management (IM), Warehouse Management (WM), or that is intending to implement a new greenfield mobile RF barcode scanning system with EWM.  Existing mobile RF barcode scanning systems built for SAP ECC 6.0 with IM or WM will not seamlessly migrate to EWM, as EWM is an SAP redesigned solution that accommodates the core functionality of ERP WM with additional capabilities that match those available from third-party, state-of-the-art solutions.

In this session experts will review and discuss critical barcode equipment and SAP connectivity considerations so attendees will understand the key equipment and connectivity considerations required for successfully implementing a mobile RF barcode scanning system with EWM.  These considerations will be applicable for businesses using SAP Console (telnet) connectivity, SAP ITSmobile (web browser) connectivity, as well as internally built/homegrown systems or manual warehouse operations that plan to implement a new, ground-up mobile RF barcode scanning system.

View this session on-demand to learn how to:

  • Differentiate between SAP’s RF Framework connectivity methods that are supported for SAP ECC 6.0, SAP S/4HANA and with EWM
  • Prepare/confirm planning for migrating from SAP Console (telnet) to a modern touch-friendly user interface and using SAP-integrated web browser connectivity
  • Validate and understand key requirements for migrating from Windows to an enterprise Android OS system for mobile “RF” devices
