The new star in the portfolio is logi.CAD 3 compact. The focus is on efficient and effective programming of IEC 61131-3 compliant controllers in direct connection with the other departments required for an industrial automation solution. As a major innovation, users will be specifically supported in future in reusing partial solutions and know-how developed in projects in subsequent projects and thus drastically reducing development times.
Worldwide, users with the highest demands rely on
Tools from logi.cals:
One of the world’s leading companies in the field of metallurgical and rolling mill technology programs technological controls of cold and hot strip lines worldwide with logi.CAD in order to achieve unsurpassed plant performance and product quality. For our product logi.CAD, this means that up to 6 million Input/output and communication points can be engineered and processed with logi.RTS.
Plant manufacturers, such as the Austrian Andritz Hydro GmbH, based in Vienna, also use logi.CAD for the automation of run-of-line and pumped storage power plants. Not only have all Danube power plants been automated with our software, but more than a third of all medium-sized and larger hydropower plants worldwide are implemented with our platform.
In the field of traffic technology, well-known global companies also rely on the products logi.CAD and logi.RTS for controlling automatic functions in coaches and city buses as well as in trucks. In figures, this means that more than 80% of all buses are programmed with logi.cals products
become.
In order to be able to meet the needs of our users in the best possible way in the future, logi.cals conducts intensive research – including the Vienna University of Technology. There, logi.cals has been operating the Christian Doppler Laboratory CDL-Flex since 2010, which deals with the optimization of development environments for modern automation systems. Based on industrial tasks, research is carried out on approaches for the improved technical integration of software tools and for the semantic integration of data models.
In addition to the research area of the TU Vienna, logi.cals equips training institutions with logi.cals products to support them in the classroom and diploma theses with modern software products.logi.cals is also a founding member of the PLCopen organization as well as a member of AutomationML and the EtherCAT Technology Group.
