To avoid emissions, the company leverages digital tools such as virtual collaboration to minimize the need for travel and the associated emissions. To reduce emissions, SAP strives to optimize energy efficiency in its data centers to lower energy consumption and emissions, and it compensates for any remaining emissions through measures such as implementing an internal carbon price on business travel flights and using the revenue to purchase high-quality offsets. SAP's commitment to reducing emissions has led to significant progress, with detailed information on the company's emissions performance and journey available in its integrated report, which covers Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions.
