Additionally, over 30% of consumers consistently consider the environmental ramifications of their online purchases, a figure that rises to 42% among the 25-34 age group. This growing consumer focus, coupled with increasing governmental environmental initiatives, places heightened pressure on supply chain and logistics operations to cut greenhouse gas emissions. Descartes is responding to this need by offering green delivery solutions that leverage technology to reduce fuel consumption, paper use, and vehicle congestion, as well as facilitating multi-party collaboration to optimize delivery frequencies and improve shipment-to-carrier matching, thus enhancing overall sustainability performance.
