Mervi Lampinen

Mervi Lampinen comes from Finland and has degrees both in Economics and IT. She speaks many languages: Finnish, Swedish, English, Dutch, German, Spanish and some Italian, French and Russian. Her work has taken her to many countries and she has lived f.ex. in Russia, UK, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and Chile where she has worked for large international and multinational companies such as KONE Corporation, Berg Electronics, Philips, Office Depot, Staples, European Southern Observatory, Merck Sharp & Dohme GmbH in various senior IT and E-commerce leadership positions. Her passion is diversity and inclusion and she enjoys mentoring young women and promotes women to work in tech. Her current team at Merck Sharp & Dohme GmbH is the most diverse in the German subsidiary, both in gender and origin consisting of 7 different nationalities. In her free time, she enjoys travelling and exploring different cultures, learning Spanish, doing sports, reading science fiction and Scandinavian thrillers, listening to various kinds of music and going to concerts. She is also a passionate cook, likes wine and food pairing.
