Connecting CIOs and digital leaders with opportunities is the core mission of Maryfran Johnson Media, which offers a range of content, event moderation and consulting services to senior IT leaders and their technology industry partners. The former editor-in-chief of CIO magazine and Computerworld, Maryfran is respected throughout the IT leadership community nationwide for her engaging stage presence, public speaking and panel moderating skills, and her extensive network of prominent Chief Information, Technology and Digital Officers. In her consulting and advisory work, Maryfran assists clients with a variety of leadership branding, editing and moderating projects. She also hosts the CIO Leadership Live video and audio podcasts, which since 2018 have featured 100+ in-depth interviews with prominent Fortune 1000 CIOs on topics such as digital business transformation, innovation, tech talent and leadership challenges. Since leaving IDG/Foundry in late 2019 to start her own media consultancy, she has also served as a contributing author on CIO.com Maryfran earned a Master of Arts in Journalism from The Ohio State University’s Kiplinger Program and a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Florida. Prior to joining the technology press, she spent 10 years as a reporter at daily newspapers in Florida, Washington State and Ohio. She and her husband live in the Boston area.
