After graduating from University of Limerick with a Business Studies Degree, I started my career as a Cost and Management Accountant. I qualified with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and joined MACOM in 1994 as Management Accountant. In 2000, MACOM implemented SAP and I was part of the implementation team, focusing mainly on the Finance and Controlling modules. After Go-Live I remained in IT to support and enhance the system over the following years. As MACOM grew, my role also evolved and over the past 19 years, I’ve worked on facilitating a transition from in-house SAP Support to an outsourced model, project managed various SAP integrations of acquired companies and worked as Business Architect for all modules. In August 2018, I became Business Systems Manager for G&A, focusing on developing an effective partnership with the MACOM Finance team using SAP FICO functionality. The automation of the Capital Expenditure Process is our first initiative using the Fiori Application Builder provided by IQX.
