Jürgen Butsmann

Senior Director Product Marketing SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Jürgen Butsmann is part of the SAP cloud ERP Product Marketing. In conjunction with the development organization he works on the future strategy and roadmap of SAP S/4HANA Cloud, which includes the positioning and messaging of the solution.

In particular, Jürgen is responsible of the go to Market of SAP Business AI capabilities for SAP S/4HANA Cloud Digital Supply Chain and Finance, and other SAP Business Technology Platform related capabilities for SAP Cloud ERP, including (among others) the analytics solutions inside SAP S/4HANA Cloud (SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics) and the positioning with related solutions (e.g. SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Datasphere).

Past roles:

Jürgen joined SAP back in 1997 as consultant for SAP EC EIS, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP SEM and SAP EPM. Jürgen built up the Business Development for Enterprise Performance Management for planning in EMEA and globally until 2007. From 2008 to 2012 he was part of SAP HANA Solution Management. In 2012 he took over the Solution Ownership for the analytical solutions SAP HANA Live and SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics as part of Solution Management and joint the Business Development team for SAP S/4HANA in 2016. Here he was responsible for the Go-To-Market (GTM) of SAP Business Suite 4 SAP HANA (SAP S/4HANA) in the EMEA region(s). He is based out of SAP Headquarters in Walldorf, Germany.

Other details:

Jürgen has studied Industrial Engineering and Management (Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen) at the University of Karlsruhe (TH) and has a degree of a Diplom Wirtschaftsingenieur. He has written 2 books for SAP Press on the topic SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics.

With his family (having two boys, 15 yrs. and 10 yrs. and a daughter of 7 yrs.) he lives in a town near Frankfurt/Germany. Jürgen is a Jazz drummer and a photographer but enjoys most being with his family.
