Prospecta Extends MDO Governance Into SAP Business Data Cloud

Prospecta Software LLC has extended its MDO master data governance platform into SAP Business Data Cloud (SAP BDC), using a zero-copy integration architecture that connects to SAP Datasphere and Databricks. Prospecta publishes governed master data into the SAP BDC catalog for use by SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Joule.

MDO Fuse Links SAP BTP Data to Governed Workflows

MDO Fuse connects to SAP through SAP BTP Cloud Integration (CPI) using OAuth-based authentication and SAP-approved protocols including OData, SOAP, HTTPS, and RFC. It also handles bulk operations through XFuse, a framework for mass uploads, updates, and rule-based validations rather than one-record-at-a-time edits.

Prospecta also built two-way integration between MDO Fuse and SAP Joule, giving the assistant governed rather than unvalidated records. .

MDO for Supply Chain Management Covers Spares and Assets

Prospecta’s MDO for Supply Chain Management extends governance to asset-intensive operations through MDO iMRO and MDO Assets. The solution ships with preconfigured master data objects covering spares, functional location, equipment, maintenance, alternate label, task list, document info record, and work center.

It integrates with SAP Business Network Asset Collaboration, SAP Asset Performance Management, and SAP IBP across industries, including oil, gas, energy, utilities, chemicals, and mining.

KAI Agents Bring AI Stewardship to SAP Master Data

Both product lines run on KAI, which Prospecta describes as MDO’s next-generation AI steward and an agentic layer. Prospecta says KAI cuts manual stewardship work by flagging duplicates and routing exceptions before data reaches SAP S/4HANA.prospecta

MDO governs five domains: Material Master, Business Partner, Enterprise Asset Management, Finance, and Reference Data. Prospecta uses MDO Data Intelligence Workbench (DIW) and XFuse to remediate records before SAP S/4HANA migration.
