Mosaic Consulting Group, a 15-year HCM and workforce management specialist backed by Avesi Partners, has launched a dedicated SAP practice targeting cloud transformation across SAP BTP, Business AI, and S/4HANA modernization programs.
The new SAP practice is led by Noel Fagan, former CEO of SAP-focused consultancy Rizing, and joined by Rizing founder Mike Maiolo as Executive Chair—signaling an experienced, delivery-focused leadership structure designed to accelerate SAP cloud adoption for enterprise clients.
As the SAP partner ecosystem increasingly fragments around specialized delivery models and AI-enabled implementations, Mosaic's entry reinforces that deep domain expertise in areas like HCM, cloud infrastructure, and business transformation is becoming the primary differentiator for SAP consulting firms.
Mosaic Consulting Group is expanding into the SAP ecosystem with the launch of a dedicated SAP consulting practice, a move that reflects continued demand for cloud modernization and specialized delivery expertise across SAP environments.
The April 21 announcement, made in conjunction with private equity firm Avesi Partners, positions Mosaic to extend its 15-year track record in human capital management (HCM) and workforce management (WFM) into broader SAP transformation work. Headquartered in Nashville, Mosaic serves clients across public sector, manufacturing, healthcare, and retail.
The new SAP practice will focus on SAP Cloud adoption, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), SAP Business AI, and Business Transformation Management (BTM), with an emphasis on integrating AI-driven delivery into implementation and modernization programs.
“We are truly excited to be stepping into this new market. It isn’t just about expanding our reach, it’s about expanding our vision,” said Krystyn Sadler, CEO of Mosaic Consulting Group. “Expanding into the SAP market speaks to our commitment to helping businesses grow their competitive stance with advanced enterprise software solutions.”
Leadership Signals Delivery Focus
The practice reportedly will be led by Noel Fagan, President of Mosaic’s SAP practice and former CEO of SAP-focused consultancy Rizing. He is joined by Mike Maiolo, founder of Rizing, who now serves as Executive Chair of Mosaic’s board.
The leadership structure suggests an emphasis on experienced, delivery-focused execution within SAP programs, particularly in cloud environments where implementation quality and speed remain persistent challenges.
Fagan described the model as intentionally streamlined: “We have a lean, high-impact team with more than 20 years of experience working together and with our partners in the SAP ecosystem. Our approach is to have direct, open, and honest conversations about solutions that will help organizations fully realize their capabilities with SAP.”
AI-Forward SAP Modernization Backed by Private Equity
Mosaic is positioning the new practice around an AI-enabled delivery model, combining SAP cloud applications with BTP-based extensibility and business AI capabilities.
The firm says its approach is designed to support continuous innovation and long-term ROI, rather than one-time transformation efforts. That positioning aligns with broader shifts in the SAP market, where customers are moving away from large, monolithic implementations toward more iterative, cloud-based programs.
Meanwhile, Avesi Partners’ backing highlights continued investor interest in SAP services, particularly as organizations accelerate SAP S/4HANA migrations and expand cloud adoption strategies.
“Businesses are increasingly seeking specialized expertise to get the right technology designed and implemented in a way that produces value to their organizations,” said Seth Pearson, Managing Director at Avesi. “Mosaic’s culture and commitment to understanding clients’ needs is what the market needs right now.”
The launch reflects a broader trend in the SAP partner ecosystem, where firms are differentiating through vertical expertise, cloud specialization, and AI-enabled delivery models rather than scale alone.
What This Means for SAPinsiders
Specialization is a primary differentiator in the SAP services market. Mosaic’s entry reinforces that buyers are prioritizing targeted expertise in areas like SAP Cloud, BTP, and Business AI over generalized system integration capabilities. For SAP customers, partner selection is increasingly tied to domain depth and delivery model, not just size.
AI is shifting from product feature to delivery model. Mosaic’s positioning around AI-driven delivery reflects a broader shift in how SAP programs are executed. AI is not only embedded in applications but also being used to accelerate implementation, reduce manual effort, and improve project outcomes.
The partner ecosystem continues to fragment around delivery approach. The launch highlights a growing divide between large-scale integrators and more focused firms emphasizing lean teams and disciplined execution. For SAP leaders, this expands the range of options but also raises the importance of aligning partner model with project scope and complexity.
