SAP SE has announced the next step in its partnership with Microsoft, using the latest enterprise-ready generative AI innovation to help solve customers’ most fundamental business challenges.

Together the companies will integrate SAP SuccessFactors solutions with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot in Viva Learning and Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service to access language models that analyze and generate natural language.

As a result of the integrations, new experiences designed to improve how organizations attract, retain and skill their people will be enabled.

Microsoft and SAP’s collaboration will enable SAP customers to benefit from generative AI to attract the qualified candidates for key roles and generate personalized insights to keep them engaged once employed.

Using SAP’s Azure OpenAI Service API and data from SAP SuccessFactors, the companies will develop new experiences that streamline recruiting and employee development processes.

This includes creating highly targeted job descriptions and allowing individuals to fine-tune job descriptions using Copilot in Microsoft Word with additional content and checks to detect bias.

The Azure OpenAI Service API will also be used by SAP to offer prompts to interviewers within Microsoft Teams with suggested questions based on a candidate’s resume, the job description and similar jobs.

The integration of SAP SuccessFactors solutions and Microsoft Viva Learning will enable employees to use Copilot in Viva Learning to carry out natural language queries and create personalized learning recommendations based on data and learning courses in SAP SuccessFactors solutions that align with the employee’s career and development goals.
