Informatica from Salesforce unveiled Agentic Multidomain MDM at Informatica World 2026, positioning it as the data-readiness foundation for enterprise AI agents across SAP and non-SAP systems. The launch arrived weeks after SAP Sapphire 2026, where SAP introduced more than 200 specialized Joule agents built on trusted, governed master data through SAP Business Data Cloud.

Informatica describes Agentic Multidomain MDM as a continuously running system where autonomous AI agents cleanse, steward, and enrich master data in real time. The timing connects two converging mandates: SAP enterprises need clean master data to activate Joule, and Informatica is building the autonomous governance layer to get them there.

Informatica’s Agentic Multidomain MDM is designed to govern customer, supplier, product, and financial master data across hybrid and multi-cloud environments simultaneously. A Data Steward Agent continuously resolves quality issues, matches records, and enriches domain data without manual intervention from data teams.

Informatica positions the design goal as ensuring every master data record carries full lineage so downstream AI agents can act on it with confidence. Large SAP deployments typically hold master data across SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and non-SAP CRM systems, making a multi-cloud MDM layer relevant to enterprises that cannot close that gap with platform-native tools alone.

Data Quality Agent and SAP HANA CDC Support SAP Pipelines

The Data Quality Agent reached general availability in Spring 2026, enabling business users to write data quality rules in natural language that IDMC translates into production-ready logic. Separately, the April 2026 IDMC release added SAP HANA log-based CDC with encrypted logs, extending change-data-capture to SAP HANA environments that enforce transaction log encryption.

This configuration is a security baseline in regulated industries, and the new CDC capability extends IDMC coverage to those deployments without additional tooling.
