Hitachi Vantara, a subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd, has announced its Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform One. This single hybrid cloud data platform will address the challenges of scaling data and modernizing applications across complex, hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures including SAP S/4HANA cloud migrations and integrations.
With the ability to run different types of applications, whether on-premises or in the public cloud, and without a plethora of complexities, Hitachi Virtual Storage Platform One aims to give companies a common data plane across structured and unstructured data in block, file and object storage.
The introduction of this new platform comes at an integral time for SAP and SAP partner companies, as the use of generative AI and cloud migration have become all but necessary to stay relevant during this time of innovation.
Businesses are becoming overwhelmed with the amount of data they store and many are unequipped to scale for the future as data-extensive applications burden their already strained hybrid cloud environments.
