CACI Grows Its Federal Portfolio While Building a Compliance-Ready Path to SAP Cloud

CACI International Inc has added several contracts to its federal portfolio in recent months, including a five-year award worth up to $113 million from the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command, a Department of War contract to deploy its SkyValor drone defense system at the U.S. southern border, and a selection to modernize technology architectures for U.S. Space Force Guardians.

CACI also opened a Manufacturing Center of Excellence for Defense Electronics in the Greater Rochester, New York, area. CACI describes itself as one of the largest prime contractors in the federal government market, and the recent contract activity arrives alongside documented delivery results on an existing enterprise system modernization program, plus a compliance-certified route into SAP cloud environments through its affiliate, SAP National Security Services.

Measurable ERP Modernization Outcomes

CACI deployed its Agile AI Solution Factory, a delivery framework the company built on decades of ERP expertise and one of the largest Agile frameworks in the federal government, to sustain, enhance, and modernize the Global Combat Support System, Marine Corps, known as GCSS-MC. The Marine Corps logistics modernization program is an enterprise resource planning system supporting Marine Corps logistics, and CACI’s engagement expanded over time to include cloud migration, DevSecOps, and full lifecycle sustainment of the platform. Fragmented logistics workflows had previously created delays, duplicate orders, and poor visibility into supply chain data across the Marine Corps.

Four years into the engagement, operational availability rose from 85% to 98%, a 13-point increase. Delivery velocity improved by 145% over the same period, and the velocity of change request delivery grew by 300%. Quality reached 99.6%, and CACI averaged more than 240 releases annually on the program. J. Blair Parsons III, CACI’s vice president of advanced supply chain solutions, said that from password automation to deploying advanced robotic process automation bots, CACI ensures rapid delivery without compromising security, compliance, or user satisfaction.

The metrics give federal program offices a documented reference point for what sustained modernization work can produce once a system has been stabilized and iterated on over multiple years.

A Secure, Compliance-Ready Path Back to SAP Cloud

SAP National Security Services operates as an independent U.S. subsidiary of SAP, certified at CMMC Level 2, and built specifically to deliver SAP cloud capability to organizations with heightened security requirements. All SAP NS2 team members are U.S. citizens working on U.S. soil, and customer data remains geographically isolated within the United States. That structure serves government agencies, the Department of War, the Defense Industrial Base, and other regulated organizations, a customer base that overlaps closely with CACI’s own federal client roster.

Two case examples illustrate what that structure has produced for existing customers. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation modernized its core enterprise systems through this model to improve performance, usability, and reliability while meeting strict security requirements across one of the nation’s largest correctional systems. A section chief at the department said the migration delivered immediate improvements, noting that the user interface is more intuitive, reports run almost instantly, and overall system performance is noticeably better.

The Department of Justice used a related shared-service platform to gain visibility and efficiency across a budget exceeding $70 billion, with a speaker cited in that case study saying the department now has a more robust system and a true reporting center of excellence, bringing it one step closer to an all-encompassing financial reporting ecosystem. CMMC Level 2 certification and U.S. soil staffing directly address the data residency and personnel clearance objections that tend to stall SAP cloud decisions in regulated environments.

CMMC Level 2 certification and U.S.-based data isolation directly answer the security objections that often stalled prior SAP cloud decisions in regulated agencies. Cleared, U.S.-citizen staffing eases governance sign-off.
